I'd like to get some exercise etc at local cross country centers. Will do the groomed tracks, but I'm sure inevitably will also see a squirrel and head off into the woods here and there.
Is there a ski that might span these desires? I'm not looking for optimal in all cases, nor particularly high-performing, but rather reasonably functional.
Will start with fish scales most likely.
How wide can I go and still fit the tracks?
